It’s true, here you’ll find some of the best Alpine, Nordic, and Backcountry skiing in the east! But what’s really awesome about the Mad River Valley is that there are also plenty of off-mountain activities and other things to do in our part of Vermont to keep everyone entertained. Whether you want to be out in the snow, or inside with the snow in view, you’re sure to enjoy your Vermont winter getaway.
Spring
Shhhhhhh… spring is like a secret treasure around here. The transition between winter and summer is quiet, peaceful, and brings out a different kind of beauty in the Mad River Valley. As the snow melts, and the trees bloom, the weather is unpredictable but the fresh air is not! The Mad River has so many things to do in spring. You may be skiing, biking, swimming, or just exploring. But every day is a good day to be here.
